“But, Ben, I don’t have time to write a newsletter” January 10, 2009

Lawyers should be touching their ‘herd’ at least once per month with an interesting,  non-laywer sounding, printed newsletter. Many lawyers believe that they will never find the time the write a newsletter.

This is a mindset issue. Once you get into the ‘groove’ it becomes really easy.

Seth Godin has a great idea (and one that I have been teaching for years) about making others in your community ‘famous’ by writing articles about them and/or interviewing them.

Take it one step further. After you run the article get it framed and “present” it to the subject of the article. Heck, take a hammer and nail over to their office/store/place of business and say “where do you want it?”

Then, give them 100 copies of your newsletter with their interview in it for their office.
