Change is hard for all of us, but attorneys learn and practice by precedent. What worked in the past should work in the future. I'm sure there is a graph I learned (and forgot) from college that explain the diminishing returns often associated with being slow to change. You know better than I many law firm are going to struggle in the economy that will require many and frequent adjustments to build marketing share. The bankruptcy law changes a few years back thinned the competition and the survivors emerged better of than before. Challenges like this economy will certainly make AND break some firms.
